1. Third person posting is preferred at this forum.
2. Character dialog should use quotation marks "Damn Peter, you really scared the hell out of me"
3. Do not post one liners, it gives the other player nothing to work with in developing the scenario/hulk universe
4. Try to post at least two paragraphs consisting of 8 to 10 sentences each.
5. When roleplaying in battles, remember that you are not God so you should not God-mode, it would not be fun to just kill off anyone you want, as it would end the game real quick.
6. Auto-hitting is defined as roleplaying that you hit your opponent with an attack before they have a chance to reply or defend themselves. It is always wiser to "attempt" a strike.
7. All kills must be sanctioned by the moderator or an administrator, this includes non player characters.
8. When doing your roleplay posts, use the PAST tense (turned, stood). If you post something out of character, put it at the bottom of the post like so..
OOC: Message
9. Powerplaying (taking control of someone else’s character without their permission) will not be tolerated.
10. The administrators and moderators reserve the right to make all judgment calls in combat situations. When characters are fighting they will take turns posting, attacker going first. Once one person has posted an attack, they cannot post another attack, nor move their character until the opponent has posted his or her counter attack or damage infliction. We may pronounce you dead. If you die you are welcome to join the game again as a new character, if that RPC is available.
11. Members/characters start at 0,0 on all stats, powers, information, and abilities. Statistics are added up based on post count, 1 point per post on powers/abilities and 2 points toward regaining the characters identity. Every 10 "post points" a player/characters receives 1 ability or power. For every 15 post points you receive a piece of information concerning the identity of your superhero, villain.
12. Exile (canon) characters must complete the Realm of the Exiles portion of the forum before that character can interact in other dimensions and upon the earth, with all their powers and identity restored. The Exile realm is completed by:
a) Regaining the characters identity and powers
b) or perhaps due to some strange event in the Exile RPG's board
13. You cannot come back as a character that has already died in the game, unless a moderator makes the judgment that another character would have the ability to bring someone back to life.
14. Try to be a productive poster, keep your character going, all characters that are left inactive for a period longer then 2-3 weeks (less if the forum goes well) their actions will be taken over by an administrator or moderator and dealt with in one of the following ways, until such time as the member is able to return.
a. Character gets hurt severely and is put out of commission for the necessary length of time.
b. If left inactive long enough, the player dies and their points/energy is given to the strongest character (the one who has the most points) in other words, if your inactive you will run the risk of your opponent winning. So don't let your character down.
15. Each player may have several characters. When posting make it very clear which character is involved.
16. Story lines often require one person to declare actions/dialog for another player’s characters. Try to keep this to a minimum, if you must, Be nice. Anything you declare that another player’s character is doing or saying should be in line for how that player has developed his character. When a storyline involves several characters give the other players a chance to contribute. Don’t jump the story beyond their chance to respond.
17. Once a player regains their identity a moderator will post an image of who you are in an RP post, an administrator will also add a new avatar to your profile of same.
